Native Finance is an ambitious and fast-growing digital brokerage for real estate, promising more streamlined and efficient financing for a wide range of development and investment transactions, from traditional senior debt, to stretched senior, mezzanine, preferred equity and long-term facilities.

The business is the UK’s first genuinely whole-of-market brokerage for property professionals, providing borrowers with access to over 200 institutional lenders through its technology platform. By using real-time pricing and risk appetite data on live deals, rather than stated lending terms, the platform ensures that borrowers can quickly get the most competitive terms on the market.

This is a major disruption for the opaque world of real estate finance. Raising investment or development finance has traditionally been a slow and time consuming process, with brokers often channelling deals to a small number of preferred lenders. By using technology Native Finance ensures greater transparency and efficiency in the market, benefitting both borrowers and lenders alike.

The business was founded in 2016 by Daneal Bassiouni, formerly at McKinsey & Co. and Pras Kannan, formerly at Goldman Sachs. They are joined by a team of experienced deal originators who previously worked at tier one lenders such as The Royal Bank of Scotland and Coutts & Co.

Investors in the business include: Passion Capital, one of Europe’s leading venture capital funds; Lord Stevenson, former Chairman of HBOS; and, Brooks Newmark, Founder of the UK arm of Apollo Global Management. Eileen Burbidge, Chair of Tech City and HM Treasury’s Special Envoy for Fintech, joins the business as Non-Executive Director.
