    Hello Job Seekers!

Thanks for stopping by! I want to tell you about my startup, Opera Event. It's a company started by a group of friends who love gaming. One of these friends, Brandon Byrne (former VP at Curse) noticed something. He noticed that streamers on platforms like YouTube and Twitch didn't have a lot of ways to engage with their audiences. Why aren't there more tools at their disposal to engage? Why isn't there a platform that connects the dots for them?

Brandon brought his idea to a small group of friends, myself among them, and Opera Event was the result. We're building tools for Influencers. By Influencers we are talking about the people that create content for platforms such as Twitch, Periscope, and YouTube. Our goal is to build the tools that will allow them to have higher engagement with their audiences. We believe their audiences are theirs, not the platforms they view them on. Wherever the Influencer is, their audience should be there too. Their fans want to have interactions with their Influencers, Influencers want to have better and easier to use tools to manage their streams/video, and that is where Opera Event comes in!

We consider ourselves to be a B2B business, our client is the Influencer. The ecosystem is vast and untapped. Some of our potential clients have viewership in the 10s of millions per month, and yet no one has heard of them and they make peanuts. Why is that? We have a varied backgrounds within our founding group's DNA. From finance, game design, and operations, to many startups, professional gambling, and esports. We really do have some deep knowledge about the space we're looking to work in. Our clients trust us to have their best interest at heart because we tell them upfront that they are the client, not their audience.

We already built one product to prove that we can help Influencers make more revenue, get better data, and allow audience members to interact with Influencers in a new way while also shaping the content they are watching. The product is called Bounties, and it's already live on Twitch with a small batch of Influencers in an MVP state. Bounties allows audience members to challenge Influencers to face a funny consequence. An example might be, win three games in a row or sing karaoke live on stream. The Influencer gets the money either way if they accept the bounty. This feature can be used in lot of different ways, all tools that have been given to the Influencer to allow them the freedom to mold it to fit their brand. They can set Thresholds, reduce the fields to a single action, set minimums, make it so others can add-on (join) bounties, and a lot more. The data we've gotten back so far has been amazing. We believe in delivering flexibility. Each Influencer knows their audience best, so we give them tools that will allow them to maximize their efforts.

We're ramping up to build more tools and a full-fledged platform that will transform how Influencers and audience members interact with one another. We're a small startup that needs people that want to take nothing and make it into something. We need people who are willing to take the plunge on an uncertain job, where there is greater risk but also greater reward. I can't guarantee that we'll be around in a year, or even six months, but with the funding we have (and getting more of) and the signals we're gotten so far, we believe we're onto something that has the potential to be a very impactful product that could change a billions of dollars a year industry.
