While we at Reboot are generally against long term goals, and believe long term success is likely the byproduct of compounding short term wins, it still helps to show what success could look like.
View this 2023 Year vision as a possible success story for Reboot, but far from specific goals. And view it to gain inspiration so you can create your impact on where Reboot actually ends up in 5 or 10 years.
Reboot Baseball remains the company's strongest business line. Reboot is attacking baseball in three ways:
Reboot has expanded it's footprint and now works with 40% of teams. It's 12 clients use Reboot to analyze pitching, hitting, and weight training biomechanics. Coaches and front office staff digest our analyses daily and use them to inform training, lineup, and roster decisions. And the training staff implements our reporting into their daily plans for all athletes.
As a whole, organizations interact with Reboot one of two ways:
Our MLB business alone creates over $2 million in annual recurring revenue.
Our partnership with Diamond Kinetics has proven successful. We have 4 co-developed apps: baseball hitting, baseball pitching, softball hitting, and softball pitching.
While this is the newest of our 3 baseball business lines, it is also the one with the largest growth potential. Through improvements in open source motion capture technology and the ability to add a layer of data science on top of our physics based analysis, we successfully turned our MLB product into a simpler application for the elite academy market.
Academies have a singular UI to 1) upload video 2) receive optimization and maintenance reports and 3) track coaching changes and player outputs.
We have partnerships with 25 academies, reaching 2,000 athletes across the US.
Our move to basketball is already showing real promise. Day by day, it is becoming clear that biomechanics is the future for player development throughout sports. Whether the goal is maximizing velocity, minimizing unwanted movement, or developing consistency, understanding "How Data" is key.
We currently have 3 NBA clients and expect to triple that number over the next two years.
And for expansion in amateur markets, we moved to by far the largest market for amateur athletic performance- golf.
The size of the golf market made it both attractive and difficult. The attraction is obvious with the magnitude of 18-40 year-olds looking to improve. The difficulty is the competition. There are countless startups looking to make the world's best golf coaching app.
Given our API first approach, we were able to take a different approach, partnering with 3 golf coaching apps with different strategies- targeting coaches, elite users, and everyday users.
Rather than spending millions in marketing, our focus remains on building the world's best biomechanics analyses and having our partners do the rest.
Reboot's growth over the last few years has been great for us and our employees. We accomplished our major goal of dominating baseball biomechanics. We are the unquestioned leaders in the space and our customers- especially MLB organizations- love us.
After focusing on baseball, we began our expansion plans. We targeted elite customers and found success 1) in pro basketball and 2) consumer golf.
Our consistent sustainable growth allowed us to expand the team without outside capital. Our early team members have enjoyed:
And speaking of that success, Reboot is set up for a future where:
