WHO WE ARE

Divya and Lane met as first-year MBA students at Wharton. Divya brings the healthcare expertise: she studied and practiced medicine in New Zealand prior to attending Wharton. Lane brings the technology expertise: he worked as a software developer for six years at NY-based quantitative hedge fund D. E. Shaw & Co. Today, Divya is our clinical and sales lead, while Lane is responsible for product, technology, finance and operations.

WHY WE'RE DOING THIS

Divya discovered a problem while practicing medicine: she was wasting an incredible amount of time trying to communicate with her colleagues at the hospital. Divya's deep understanding of the problems in clinical workflow, combined with Lane's engineering and analytical expertise, make them the right team to address the problem. Together they're building a hospital communication and analytics platform that will make doctors' lives easier, reduce medical errors, save hospitals money, and get patients home faster.

WHERE WE ARE

We have five pilots running, including two at major U.S. hospitals. Two have agreed to pay for Seratis. We are negotiating a contract to go systemwide at one of the largest hospitals in the country, and we just signed a contract to launch a pilot at a top five hospital. Our users LOVE Seratis and we constantly receive incredible feedback from them. There is tons of work to be done, to improve the product and keep our customers happy. We are talking to some of the top VC firms in the country about raising a Series A round in the coming months.
