In 2012, there were only 20,000 "professional" content creators on YouTube. Now there are five million. 65,000 of these creators have over 100,000 subscribers who come back regularly to watch new videos. Many of these followers want to engage with these creators and other subscribers like them but find YouTube comments, Twitter, Instagram, email and other platforms lacking. Creators themselves use authentic engagement as a way to build or maintain their audience and make money. They also find these platforms lacking. Enter Subblime.
We want to help content creators and digital influencers engage more authentically and effectively with their audience. We give creators one place, a community, to consolidate their questions from across social media, to moderate questions via powerful filtering and sorting capabilities, and to monetize their interaction with premium features.
We are inspired by the interactions that happen in communities like Reddit and that are buried within Twitter or Tumblr but think we can do better. Our goal extends beyond YouTube creators but believe that YouTube creators are a great place to start - and we have longstanding relationships in (and knowledge of) this eco-system.
We aspire to build a team of passionate and bold tinkerers - we want a team that's not afraid of feedback whether its from the customer, the data, or each other. We like to ask for forgiveness rather than permission. We want to know what you want to build to help us achieve our goals, not tell you what to build.
