WHO WE ARE
The founders of WeTrust have been passionate about financial inclusion for some time, and when blockchain technology came along, we realized this could be a way to improve financial inclusion on a global scale. Further inspired by this article about the "unexotic underclass" http://miter.mit.edu/the-unexotic-underclass/ -- we embarked on this journey.
After successfully raising funding from the crowd via a 'kickstarter for software' blockchain token sale, we are now well on our journey to improve access to safe, fairly priced, and basic financial products such as savings/ lending and insurance.
In March 2017, WeTrust successfully executed one of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns in history by raising over $5m from over 1600 contributors who believe in our cause to use technology for good, and use technology to improve financial inclusion. At present date, over 2000+ members are in our slack community and are our evangelists and supporters.
We are now looking for like minded individuals to join our mission, and leverage this excitement and growing movement.
