We are seeking an Associate Director to join the People Technology team within HR, reporting to the Sr. Director of People Technology.

Gilead HR is embarking on a program of process improvement, identifying opportunities for streamlining the way we work, and putting in place the right technical solutions to enable efficient workflow. This is an amazing opportunity for a driven, Workday technical expert to join our team and help us champion solutions to scale the HR function.

An ideal candidate will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves to implement changes within Workday. They will come with an understanding of best-in-class HR practices, and a desire to partner with the HR and IT ecosystems to help champion workflow optimization and manage/mentor talent within the organization.

Associate Director, People Technology

Essential Duties and Functions:

* Serve as the technical and subject matter lead for Workday Core HCM, Security, Reporting, Time and Absence
* Act as a strong consultative partner to HR Business Partners and HR COEs in process optimization
* Play the part of functional lead for additional module implementation providing functional oversight, gathering business and security requirements, performing system design, configuration, testing and training.
* Provide technical and thought leadership for a team of functional and technical resources
* Help guide training and change management efforts across end-users
* Administer day to day systems support including troubleshooting data and systems issues, recommending solutions and implementing enhancements and fixes in systems per change control guidelines
* Work with vendor, People Technology and IT on managing system releases and testing for HR Systems
* Collaborate with HR Analytics team on delivering integrated reporting solutions
* Partner with Process Improvement lead, HR Operations and HRBPs to drive continuous people, process and technology improvements



Knowledge and Skills:

* BA/BS degree with 10+ years of systems experience. HR systems experience required.
* Minimum 4 years of hands-on Workday HCM, Time, Absence, reports and security administration experience
* Minimum 4 years of people management experience
* Good project management, cross-functional team collaboration and vendor management skills
* Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
* Ability to effectively prioritize and multitask in a fast pace dynamic environment
* Strong team player and ability to work independently
* Ability to consult with and present to senior HR leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
* Strong working knowledge of HR systems and proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
