Amazon Web Services has an immediate opening for a Program Manager to support data center infrastructure inventory accuracy programs. As Amazon Web Services builds out a global fleet of Data Centers, the PM is responsible for ensuring planned capacity expansion is aligned to rack level deployments. This PM will lead tactical and strategic efforts to fix data ingest errors, identify false positives, and help global teams ensure that date commitments align to planned hand-offs.
The candidates core job function will be leading the existing position inventory accuracy team, executing data entry/quality control, and working with our existing global program management teams, Data Center Capacity Planning, Design Services, and software development teams to fix errors real time, collect and report on data errors, perform root cause analysis, check false positives, and work to improve/automate data quality.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, both written and verbally, and possess 2-4+ years of experience in project coordination and/or management. A Bachelor's Degree or additional technical experience is required. Candidates possessing experience in data center infrastructure, supply chain, and inventory systems are preferred.
Candidate must be comfortable coordinating with remote project delivery teams, and possess the ability to facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot project implementation issues, and remove barriers to project success.
The PM will be competent in a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle and have experience with MS Office, MS Project and MS SharePoint.
This position requires 30% Travel (Domestic and International trips to AWS Data Center Clusters).
