Job Description
The Business Systems Analyst will serve as the experienced analyst function for the BSA team, a liaison between the Bank's business units, Technology Vendors and the internal IT Department. The BSA will meet the primary BSA team objective through various means, including project management and planning, research, data analysis, report development and system requirements documentation.
Primary Accountabilities
* Perform both ad-hoc and standard report development using various tools (Excel, Access, SQL, Core System reporting tools)
* Provide project management support through documentation development
* Manage small projects through formal project management techniques
* Meet and interview peer level bank personnel
* Keep supervisor informed of progress against estimate to complete on all initiatives
* Complete assigned work tasks with minimal supervision
* Seek guidance when needed in an effective and efficient manner
* Assist with new systems research and evaluations
* Assist with writing RFPs and coordinating the RFP process
* Perform analysis of user needs and requirements
* Assist with workflow redesign and process improvement
* Travel throughout MSB facilities as needed
* Subscribe to and read appropriate trade journals and knowledge sources to understand trends
* Work outside the bank's normal operating hours; including nights and weekends based on current project need
* Assist in first week transition of any BSA I new hires
Position Qualifications
Education:
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
* 2-4 years professional experience
