Avanade Inc. seeks a Delivery Lead/Manager in New York, NY to manage the successful delivery of Microsoft Digital Platform service offerings throughout the full project lifecycle and via a multi-disciplinary, highly skilled digital team composed of onshore/offshore and subcontractor resources. Duties include: deliver projects/products using the appropriate agile project management methodology; work w/Program Manager to define project roadmap that includes development, implementation, and maintenance of detailed project work plan, appropriate controls, governance structures and monitoring to ensure on-time, on-budget, quality outcomes; lead collaborative, dynamic planning process, including prioritizing work to be done against capacity/capability of the team and in accordance w/SLAs; manage project issues/risks and engage formal change management mechanisms when required; ensure accurate development and traceability of requirements; actively manage client expectations and develop mutually beneficial relationships; lead in initiating RFPs during the sales proposal process; and actively participate in Delivery Manager community as a representative of Avanade. Travel to client sites is required approximately 80% of the time. Must live w/in reasonable commuting distance of New York, NY.

Basic Qualifications:

The position requires at least a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or a related technical degree. Employer will accept three- or four-year U.S. or foreign bachelor's degrees. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. In addition, the position requires at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, as a Program/Project Manager, or in a similar position within the IT consulting industry. The qualified applicant's experience must include the following professional skills: 5 years of experience articulating proposed technical solutions to relevant stakeholders; 5 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Project; 4 years of experience managing medium to large system integration projects/programs, including project mobilization/planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure using multi-functional delivery teams in an Agile delivery model; 3 years of experience utilizing Microsoft platform technologies; 3 years of experience providing pre-sales support, including requirements gathering, analyzing/defining technical architectures and articulating proposed solutions; 3 years of experience developing financial/costing models for technical solutions and managing overall project financials; and 3 years of experience performing contract writing and interfacing with legal teams.
