Position Overview

Build artificial intelligence and machine learning applications to solve real world, large scale problems encountered in Allergan product development.

Main Areas of Responsibilities

* Set up cloud computing infrastructure


* Develop machine learning or deep learning algorithms for image analysis


* Conduct algorithm outcome analysis and interpret results


* Cross functional communication for business cases and results presentation



Requirements

Hands on experience of building convolutional neural networks and implementing other machine learning/artificial intelligence algorithms. Familiar with cloud computing infrastructure, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. Proficient in Python and Tensorflow

Preferred Skills/Qualification

Strategic Responsibility:

Team level strategic responsibility including infrastructure configuration to suit the business needs and choose the right method/algorithm to solve problems and meet objectives

Business Expertise:

Need general knowledge about Allergan products, indications, populations etc.

Problem Solving:

Develop complex machine learning algorithms to solve large-scale complicated problems encountered in Allergan product development

Nature and Area of Impact:

Will bring great impact as digital innovations; bring more business insight in big data cumulated from clinical trials conducted at Allergan in the past decades

Interactions/Interpersonal Skills:

Will work with internal team to understand business needs; and work with external consultants to get advice in infrastructure set up and algorithm fine-tuning.

Education

PhD or MS degree plus 2 years of work experience in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning, Major in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or other related field
