TECHNOLOGY SERVICES GROUP (TSG) is the central infrastructure services group with a proven track record of innovating to help BNY Mellon and its customers have most reliable, nimble and cost-effective solutions in the financial services market place. BNY Mellon App Engine technology is leading edge with industry first PasS/IaaS fully integrated solution, combined with enterprise standards for developers.

TSG is building next generation scalable, efficient data center as a service using the latest innovation infrastructure. Building on top of the cloud deployments in BNY Mellon, we are aggressively automating and bridging the green field cloud with the existing virtual computing environments.

By using a client focused project management approach, this position ensures that the technology aspect of construction and design projects for corporate real estate initiatives are delivered in a timely manner. This role will be responsible for the feasibility through close out phases of projects including estimates, financial management, scope, delivery, close out and lessons learned. The role will be expected to provide strategies, tactics and tools for managing the delivery processes and key controlling factors, across Technology Infrastructure teams. Projects vary in size, duration and nature and can include supporting Mergers and Acquisitions, building expansions and consolidations and requirements to creatively meet tight timeframes. There will be interaction with end users relative to technology requirements related to their relocations.

Key responsibilities include:

* Matrix/indirect management of resources involved in technology delivery.


* Coordination of due diligence estimates and manage technology funding.


* Working with cross functional technology teams devise schedules resulting in delivery of the initiative within the defined timeframes.


* Drawing upon a technical understanding of the process(es) required to meet objectives, work with SMEs to come up with solutions, solve problems and devise associated timeline.


* Coordinate cross functional dependencies within technology and between technology and business partners.


* Manage the delivery of AV/VTC Room Upgrades.


* Identify and manage strategic improvement opportunities for Workplace Technology.


* Partner with Real Estate/ Construction Project Manager to coordinate co-dependencies.


* Partner with Lines of Business on relocation requirements and manage.


* May work with Global Procurement related to vendor aspects of the initiative/ Third Party Governance.


* May interact directly with third party vendors that are part of the delivery solution.



Principal Project/Program Manager->> Leads and provides direction and guidance for a wide array of activities associated with project planning and management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to client specifications. Manages and oversees the end to end project management activities such as project reporting, project planning, issue / risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, client management, relationship management and other project documentation preparation for projects of high business complexity (involving multiple systems interfaces that are highly visible to the organization). Defines and manages the lifecycle from project initiation through to program closure. Manages and resolves risks, issues and dependencies. Measures and monitors program actuals, forecasts and budgets and updates plans with accurate, up-to-date information in a timely manner. Follows financial standards & processes (e.g. monthly external revenue accruals, software capitalization, procurement & external payments). Reports financial information and status to the required executive level through steering committees. Secures, leads, motivates and inspires the internal & external resources required to deliver the program. Establishes the program s governance (e.g. sponsors, approvers, stakeholders). Manages Program Office Resources. May have formal management responsibility for Program Team members. Serves as a liaison between clients and internal technical groups to ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to specification. Has regular contact among peers within the firm and externally, including regulators and professional organizations. Provides advice to internal clients on the implications of business trends, issues, operating environment changes and firm or business unit strategy. Ensures project delivery is in conformance with company methodologies and standards. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree, preferably in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required, advanced degree is preferred.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is beneficial.
* Ten to twelve (10-12) years of related project management experience is required.
* Experience with technology or financial services industry is a plus.
* Flexibility, ability to deal with multiple priorities, attention to detail, sense of urgency, strong communication skills and organizational skills.
* Demonstrated experience as an SME, Business Analyst or PM for Technology Infrastructure.
* Demonstrated understanding of project management process/ role/ governance.
* Experience in financial services industry is a plus.
* PMP certification is a plus.
* Agile Project Management is a plus.
* Direct staff management or matrix management is a plus.
* Experience with responsibility for P&L is a plus.
