Job Description

Do you want to own and build a platform for highly scalable and reliable services central to Azure DevOps Services (dev.azure.com) and Microsoft's 1ES (One Engineering System)? Do you like the startup culture with laser focus on customers? Do you like growth hacking?

Our team deploys larger features to production at the end of each sprint (3 weeks) and smaller changes to production every day. We are aspiring to get fully agile by deploying multiple changes to prod every day. We use Azure DevOps Services to build and deploy Azure DevOps Services, and our code is in a Git repo where the whole team works in master. We run our services with modern DevOps practices.

Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of experience developing software

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience building production software with one of more of the following: .NET Framework, ASP.NET, C / C++ / C#, SQL, REST Services and JavaScript / TypeScript

Expertise in object-oriented design gained from working with OOP languages and patterns

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

We are looking for a software engineer, who is seeking to make a big impact on a highly productive and collaborative team, to own and build Shared Cloud Services Platform: identity (authentication, authorization, policies), commerce, licensing, user engagement & churn, admin experience, telemetry, monitoring, and business insight. As part of our team, you will be responsible for writing high-quality code for cloud services that are handling higher scale. You will design, implement, deploy and operate Azure cloud services using containers, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Active Directory, Azure Commerce, and more. In addition, you will play a key role in modernizing our cloud platform.
