Software Engineer in Test - MATLAB Graphics

Do you enjoy working with Graphics and data visualization, exploring how Graphics is rendered on the screen, and solving challenging testing problems? If so the MATLAB Graphics Software Engineer In Test could be perfect for you. You will work with a team of Engineers that build infrastructure used to create MATLAB plots and Charts that our customers love! You will be responsible for developing automated test suites and conducting hands on testing for MATLAB charts and underlying machinery used to create them. You will have an opportunity to work with JavaScript based Graphics. You will engage early in the software development process, influencing requirements specifications, attending usability sessions, and discussing software design and testability with the development team, to ensure that we deliver high quality software to our customers.

Responsibilities

* Design and develop test plans based upon functional and design specifications
* Participate in functional reviews, test specification, documentation, and code reviews
* Create and maintain automated and manual test suites with a heavy emphasis on test automation
* Design and develop test tools to support UI test automation for MATLAB design environment components
* Participate actively in functional, system and regression testing activities
* Analyze and report bugs and work with software engineers to resolve them
* Foster a continuous process improvement environment

Minimum Qualifications

* A bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.

Additional Qualifications

* MS or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related area
* Demonstrated experience in an object oriented programming language
* Proficiency in MATLAB is highly desired
* Knowledge of C++ and/or JS is a plus
* Experience with cppunit or other XUnit based testing framework including working knowledge of XUnit based test automation principles.
* Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, XP)
