Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking a Software Implementation Business Analyst in our Germantown, MD office. The ideal candidate will work closely with dynamic stakeholder teams to define and document as-is business processes. Responsibilities of the position includes, but not limited to:
* Make recommendations for process improvements where possible
* Translate documented business processes into software requirements (workflows, data dictionaries, use cases, etc)
* Work within client acquired software platforms to implement business solutions
* Serve as a client representative when interacting with software vendors
* Design, document and perform testing procedures for implemented solutions
* Develop User Acceptance test cases and facilitate User Acceptance Testing with stakeholders
* Develop supporting documentation (user guides, job aids, training materials, etc)
* Develop and conduct stakeholder training
* Provide technical assistance and support for implemented solutions
Minimum Requirements
* BS in CS, Engineering, Construction Management, other technical field
* 2-4 years of professional software business analyst experience
* SOFTWARE
* MS Office including Visio and MS Project
* Ability to effectively communicate with clients both orally and in writing
* Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization including senior managers and executives
* Excellent organization and time management skills
* Excellent presentation skills
* Ability to facilitate requirements gatherings and accurately document business process
* Ability to listen to client needs and translate them into software business requirements
* Must be a problem solver
* Ability to work alone as well as in dynamic and collaborative team environments
* Data analysis skills
* Travel up to 25% of the time
* Due to the nature of the work, we can only consider US Citizens or Green Card Holders
Preferred Qualifications
* Familiar with design, build construction processes
* Experience with commercial construction program management information system (EPMIS) software a plus
* Understanding of capital improvement program management and construction contract management
* Understanding of basic accounting and financial reporting
* Experience analyzing and writing business and system requirements documents
* Previous use case development
