Front-end Engineers interpret user feedback and work with back-end engineers to implement both design and functional aspects of a website. These types of job roles also work with programming languages like HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Skills to be successful in a Front-end Engineer job role include strong communication and critical thinking. The role also requires persistent testing of a website, as well as thinking creatively regarding interactive features. A bachelor's degree is typically required, as well as experience with web design, software applications and various coding languages. A portfolio of past work may also be preferred.
