Backend Engineer Job Description

A Backend Engineer is involved in many aspects of a company including working with teams to improve operations, implementing new features and functionality and evolving the existing company architecture. The job of a Backend Engineer is to build scalable, robust software using Java, Ruby or Scala. The Backend Engineer also improves code quality using automation and performing code reviews and through writing unit tests. This job also requires the ability to design and create services and system architecture for various projects.

A Backend Engineer will participate in brainstorming sessions with other team members and contribute to the process. The ideal candidate for a Backend Engineer position has a strong knowledge and/or experience in hands-on coding and software design, at least a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and solid OOP and software design knowledge.

Living and Working in Denver

Denver is set in the beautiful, mountainous area of Colorado and is one of the fastest growing cities in the US. There is plenty to do both in and around the city.
